Facebook App Won't Update

Got this myself on my phone, and also it just refused to upgrade. Below's what benefited me.

Edit: this appears to be a problem that Facebook are aware of. It's a concern with the Facebook application, and not a generalised Play Shop problem.

This is what helped me at the very least.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store, Clear information and Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Services > Manage space, Clear all information and Clear cache


It does not injured if you restart your phone before you attempt upgrading facebook once more. As well as, the mount was SLOW. Just a minimum of 4-5 mins. But, it did job. Otherwise try to uninstall it, or just await a solution.
