I Updated Facebook and now It Won't Open

Got this myself on my phone, as well as it just refused to upgrade. Right here's what helped me.

Edit: this appears to be an issue that Facebook know. It's a problem with the Facebook application, and not a generalised Play Store problem.

This is what helped me at least.

  1. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Shop, Clear information and Clear cache

  2. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Provider > Manage space, Clear all data and Clear cache


It does not injured if you reboot your phone prior to you attempt upgrading facebook again. And also, the mount was SLOW. Simply at least 4-5 mins. Yet, it did work. Otherwise try to uninstall it, or merely await a solution.
